Becomes first Asian registrar to get accredited for the European ccTLD.

DirectI, one of the fastest growing ICANN accredited registrars and leading Web Services Company, today announced that it can now accept requests to register the soon to be launched European Union ccTLD - .EU, as an official accredited registrar.

The .EU TLD sunrise period will begin in the fourth quarter of 2005 and is expected to last for approximately four months.

DirectI's low pricing advantage is evident from its introductory offer where the company will give away the .EU ccTLD at cost price with a nominal processing fee during the sunrise period. The .EU ccTLD will be available at the applicable registry price of 35 EUROS for public bodies, 45 EUROS for registered trademarks and 85 EUROS for other rights bodies.

DirectI is also the first Asian registrar to get accredited for the .EU ccTLD. This will give the company's resellers access to the highly lucrative European market and its enormous customer base thus enhancing their business model to become increasingly global.
